Always keep the unit upright. To remove the cover to add the water and oils, simply lift it straight up. Plug the connector end of the power adapter into the DC-jack input under the base of the diffuser. Add 100 mL of tap water. Do not use hot water, and fill only to the maximum fill line. Do not add water while the unit is switched on. Add 5 to 10 drops of diffusion essential oils to the top of the tank. Place the cover onto the base of the unit. The cover must be in place to operate the diffuser.

Keep children and pets away from essential oils. Oil mist can damage wooden and painted surfaces; wipe up any residue quickly and often. For the same reason, you should not operate them close to electronic devices which have open grills for their own ventilation, such as televisions or audio receivers. Keep these units away from direct sunlight; sources of heat; and strong drafts from air conditioners or fans.
